Since 1985, I have provided legal representation to individuals in all types of accidents, from motorcycle crashes and automobile collisions to injuries suffered because of dangerous premises. My qualification includes a 20-plus year record of successful insurance settlements and jury trials.

• Prior to becoming an attorney, I was employed as a rehabilitation counselor specializing in severe injuries, such as spinal cord damage, brain injuries, and other debilitating conditions. I studied alongside doctors and earned a master's degree including classes at Virginia Commonwealth University, which is one of few comprehensive rehabilitation centers in the country. I also served as a Quality Assurance Director for Vocational Rehabilitation, training and critiquing other rehabilitation specialists. Because of those 12 years of experience, I am knowledgeable about the medical issues involved in personal injury cases, which enables me to assess your situation and advise you on the legal solutions.
• My interest in physiology and rehabilitative medicine made personal injury a natural fit when I took up the study of law. I worked for 16 years as a litigation attorney and partner with a law firm in Lexington trying cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in courtrooms across Kentucky. Having represented the other side in personal injury cases (I still do — it keeps me balanced), I bring valuable insights into how defense attorneys are likely to approach your case.
• In 2002, I opened my own practice, John G. Rice, P.L.C. I now am able to apply that big firm experience in a one-on-one setting with clients. Though I am supported by two friendly and capable assistants, when you contact my firm you have direct access to me.
